After leaving Walpole we drove about 280km northwards to the coastal resort of Busselton. Busselton has the longest wooden structured jetty in the Southern Hemisphere measuring almost 2 kilometres long. We spent two days here mostly snorkeling in the calm warm water. The water is a lot warmer as it is the Indian Ocean and the weather has been hovering around the 40 degree mark too.
On Saturday night we went to see the trotting. Sorry not many pics as the batteries ran out but we have included a couple. Trotting is horse and cart racing. We had a couple of bets and even won too. We got in for free as a lad outside gave us complimentary tickets and we took our own beer in. Things you have to do when you are poor travelers eh. All in all including donuts, race card and bets we spent 80p all night.
The following day we walked along the jetty, snorkeled and ate some pizza. Thankfully the kids are back at school after their summer break so places are starting to become quieter. Not much else to say as we too busy enjoying ourselves and relaxing. More thumbnails ...
