Well at this stage I was planning on being out of Delhi, but turn of luck hasn't been fortunate to me.  On Sunday I went to the train station to get a ticket to Agra but I arrived at 2.30pm not realizing it was Sunday and the office closes at 2pm. So I thought I'll just go tomorrow. I wake up Monday morning and I'm covered in sweat. I was burning up, my temperature was 39.6 and the only time I got out of bed was to have a shower to get the sticky sweat off. Halfway through the next night my stomach pains began, it is like someone squeezing the insides of your stomach with a pair of pliers, then 15 minutes later they would do it again. So sleep was very patchy due the prick with the pliers. No relief on the second day, still a high temperature, still the guy with pliers and now the runs.... Having the runs is one thing, but having to use a squat toilet is another.... Come day three with no food running low on antibiotics I started to come good. The temp has come done, the pains are starting to slow down and I was able to go to the train station and buy a ticket to Agra. Then this afternoon the news was across India. Agra the home of the Taj Mahal is burning. Riots began this morning and have not eased. What started out from 4 people being run down by a truck, quickly turned into mob violence. Now racial tensions are running high as the mob believes the accident is to do with religious tension.

Below is an extract from the local Internet news

Wednesday, August 29, 2007 (Agra) Parts of Agra are paralyzed by growing mob fury, a shoe factory has been set on fire and 30 people working in the factory have been injured.

Curfew has now been imposed in six police station areas including the area around the Taj Mahal.

The entire city has been brought under prohibitory orders, which does not allow more than 4 people to gather.

100 vehicles have been burnt to their shells as the Delhi - Agra highway is closed.

So I dont think I will be travelling to Agra tomorrow, as they believe the violence may go on for some time..... or should I...... No Mum I wont go there....
