We enjoyed Treasure Cay.  The anchorage was busy and fun, the beach was the most beautiful we have encountered and we were leaving on perhaps the best beach day there had been on this trip!  We had to get out of the channel at rising tide and make our way to Elbow Cay which was also tide restricted so we would have to plan a stop on the way.  We had a super upwind sail in 10-20 knot winds tacking across the Sea of Abaco all the way to Man O War Cay.  We had to watch our chart very carefully as in many places it had warnings "uncharted rocks and coral heads in this area" so we tacked away with a good margin of error.  It took us 6 hours but we enjoyed a beautiful warm day with much more wind than forecast.  We approached the anchorage outside Man O War (the channel is restricted so we could not enter at this time) off Dickies Cay.  First we anchored  in a weedy area and Dave was not happy although we seemed to be in quite well.  We moved to an area of bright blue indicating a sandy bottom but then decided we were too close to a submerged power cable so moved further out.  It was a rather open area and rolly but a calm night was predicted.  We noted a much better area in a cove further south that on the charts seemed to have shallow water but had several large boats at anchor - local knowlege is a great advantage.  Dave and Kristie from Sea Mist came across for drinks and dinner and we planned to leave early to catch a rising tide along the channel from Hope Town to White Sound on Elbow Cay.  A cold front was predicted to follow us in the late afternoon and into the night.
