I spent the day in Minsk: Lukashenko's communist stronghold. Fortunately no anti-government riots today. I felt like about the only tourist around and no one anywhere seemed to speak anything other than Russian (or Belarussian). Nevertheless, one of the only remaining retro-communist capitals still left.
I also got drenched by the rain. As a result I had the opportunity to meet a sweet old lady would felt sorry for me being drenched and invited me into her back room office for some hot tea to warm up. Belarussians are so nice! More thumbnails ...
