This was the first time I had travelled anywhere on the Eastern side of the world, as the furthest I have been away from home is either San Fransisco or Dubai! Whilst waiting in the departure lounge at Dubai airport, it finally hit me that I would now be on my own for quite sometime, obviously I'm travelling with Doug (Ed), but I no longer had Mum, Mel or anyone right there to pick me up if I cocked up anything, I had to realise that I was now past the place where you have all kinds of security and now was going into a place where no-one speaks your language, and if you struggle with new schools, you'll know exactly what I mean. Despite my first thoughts that I wasn't too keen on Bangkok, I began to feel more at ease as I spent time there, and although I quite honestly don't really like it, I am enjoying being in a different country with a culture that I've never even experienced or met somebody from.
