A slightly arduous trip back from the beach due to the only bus being full so we caught a lift with a man and his van, then another bus on the way to get us back. A local guy sorted us out with some better transport so we made it.
The long weekend has been spent trying to see all the different islands off the coast here in KK. They are all pretty idyllic to be fair, with crystal clear waters and some good snorkelling. I did find out however, that fish bite. And draw blood. When you take bread into the water and flick it at your mate they go crazy too. Especially when your mate reveals he hates it. Saw some nice big barracuda and a vast array of fish.
Saturday night we kept it traditional by going out for a curry and then to the pub to watch Spurs get hammered by the Mancs. Arse. Nice pub but kind of similar to Hooters we all agreed. Beneficial for me. Not so for Cath. She stayed with us quite happily though.
The next day we saw the post-match interviews with the Managers. On the English-speaking ESPN here, they put subtitles on when Fergie gave his interview. How I laughed. They don't even do it with the Euro Managers and their pidgin-English.
As we bid farewell to Richie we hit the road in the morning (Tuesday) eastwards before a flight out of the country on Saturday. Get in.
