I was 17 with out my own passport, I was still on my mothers who wouldn't believe me I needed my own once I reached 16. So great drama at the airport as they wouldn't let me fly, then my mother someone managed to persuade them to let her sign a waiver that'd she wouldn't sue them when we reached Turkey and weren't let in. So arrived in Turkey with me in pigtails for the 16 year old effect & no one even looked at us or our passports ( or lack there of), phew...
