Our friends M&E arrived thurs night when we had lovely home cooked dinner a la C. & few beverages until the early hours. Fri C. did his super dooper walking tour of Cph with them, while I was at work, where I think he covered all the highlights incl. brunch, mermaid & changing of the guard... So I met them in Nyhavn at tea time for aperitifs & then we hit Wookstock in Christiania & the Spiseloppen restaurant which we hadn't been to in ages & was still as brilliant as ever! Then we got the metro back & walked to a local bar we call 'Under the bike', as that's a literal translation of it but I can't remember what's its really called, followed by Christmas beer & whiskey & gin at home .... Needless to say we were sorry looking sights on Sat morn but after a feed of tea & toast we headed off to Strøget for a shopathon. We split up for a while so C & I had a coffee break in Nazaza & I tested myself not to buy anything as I admit I have too much of everything & I succeeded, C. got a few things though. Met the other 2 again at 5 & tried to go for a glogg but Danish "service" kicked in & after 15 mins of being ignored we left. Then we went to 'Peter's Oxe' bar which very nice & we all had cocktails but alas it was not worth a 2nd one. So we hit 'Plan B' for tapas & beers which is always a great place & then later we had nice dinner in 'Mama Africa' on the next street to us. Went home for night caps at 11ish & so the lads could have a bit of play station time & we didn't do the dog on it this time. Sunday morn did the Assistens Kirkegard jaunt & showed the guys HC Andersens grave etc. and had brunch (or tried to) in Kokken & Gokken -with more "excellent" (not) danish service & food running out! Then we were heading museum-ward but it started hail-stoning so had to take shelter in Blågårds Apotek (bar), (also discovered a shop having a sale of Patrick Cox shoes 3 street's down from us hmmmm), when it cleared up went for lovely walk around lakes at sunset (the light was really nice) & realised then it was too late for musuems, so C. took the visitors record shopping instead. We couldn't face anymore Danish restaurant service so C. made lovely curry & we had cheese & swiss wine & mojitos & Irish whiskey to round off a night of good banter.
