Well since I'm becoming more of a resident here, and less of a tourist, recently I am starting to get to see some of the more regular things here like the supermarkets, malls, and the DMV.  Even though I don't feel as much as a tourist, I still take pictures like one.

One of the interesting things that recently happened to me, was that I finally felt a little earthquake here!  I know they are occurring about every 3 minutes here, but actually feeling one was something that hasnt happened to me yet.  In Bucaramanga, they are pretty much right on a fault line I believe, but thankfully, the city doesnt ever have any bad earthquakes like CA.  It just has these little ones all the time.  I thought I would feel them the first time I was here since I come from a state that almost never has them, but yesterday was the first time for me.  I went outside to look off the balcony at one of them many upcoming storms coming over the mountains in the distance, when I noticed the wall was shaking very slowly, and relative to the ground, I could see the building moving Ana Driving the Renault 4

.  I am at the 6th floor on this balcony, and thought it might have been the wind at first, but then I realized the wind was hardly blowing at all.  It wasnt a scary experience for me, but it was cool to finally feel the first mini-quake here.

Just like at home, construction dominates the roads around here, well at least the major ones.  If you know much about Bogota, you would know it has this bus fleet that goes stretches the lenght of the capital named Trans-Milenia.  It is much like a train, on the road, since it has its own lane down the central street of the city, and has stops that have covered platforms.  Since Colombia is trying to cut down on people using their own transportation, and is creating jobs by doing so, always a good thing, they are installing a similar bus system in Bucarmanga. The lanes for the bus line are still being contructed, the traffic that goes on this main road of Bucaramanga constantly has to deal with changing lane patterns and temporary dividers splitting up the road all over.  This makes the already congested road worse.  I havent been stuck in a traffic jam on it yet, but I'm sure it will happen soon.

Well today I'm going to go out to visit our friend Daniella, who lives in Floridablanca, so I home my luck continues with the traffic.  I guess that is it for now, ByE.
