Just got back from spending four nights at the Murray River National Park. It's about 240 kms East of Adelaide and we found a campsite right on the banks of the River Murray. Again, we were the only people on the whole campsite and spent a lovely few days watching pelicans and forked tailed kites swooping down and catching fish in the river right in front of us. We also tried a spot of fishing ourselves and managed to catch two carp, but the biggest one managed to get away when we were taking the hook out, and the other one somehow disappeared from the bucket we were keeping him in. We're not entirely sure what happened, but we think that one of the kites must have stolen him from the bucket!

We spent a lot of time around the camp fire, toasting marshmallows, singing songs and playing the guitar. Its a good job the campsite was empty, because although we do both have perfectly angelic voices, I'm not sure everyone would have appreciated us enthusiastically booming out American Pie and other assorted songs until late-ish in the evening!
