On the coast not too far from Adelaide is a spot where each year Southern Right Whales go to give birth. Sightings of the whales are apparently fairly common during the winter months, so we went down there with our binoculars and spent a few hours looking out to sea and managed to see a whale! It was pretty far out to sea, but there was definitley a couple of spurts of water from a blowhole and Jess saw a tailfin. It was pretty exciting.
