Another fairly brief stop over. Kuala Terrengganu has a lovely beach and seems a nice town. In fact, the beach starts here and runs pretty much unbroken all the way down the East coast for a couple of hundred miles! We will be following it from here down to Mersing in the south.

We treated ourselves to a slightly more expensive room tonight which even had a TV, so I decided to watch the Euro 2008 game between Spain and Italy. It started here at 03:45 and so by the time it had gone through extra time and penalties it was very, very late! Jess stayed soundly asleep, being the sensible one. She didn't miss much.
