Got the train back down to Malaysia from Bangkok. It took 23 hours (!!) but was great fun as we got the sleeper train and had a little section of the carriage to ourselves with two bench seats that folded down into bunkbeds! Was all very exciting, and surprisingly comfy, although I did feel a bit precarious up in the top bunk (always the best one) when the train rattled very quickly round corners.
