I think a time line is the easiest way to do this so here goes...

10 AM: Rented motobike from the guest house, and took it to go withdraw money from the bank (No ATMs in Laos).

10:15 AM: Returned mootonike to guest house, it didn't ride very well, had some blatant exterior problems, which made me question the upkeep of the interior, and it was only 100cc instead of 125cc, so I decided this definitely wasn't a suitable vehicle for a 3 day trip.

11:00 AM: Went searching around town for another bike.

3:00 PM: Returned to guest house, no luck finding a decent bike, or many people who spoke english, or access to the internet (this town really was in the middle of nowhere).

3:30 PM: Decided to take the first bike.

3:15 PM: Talked to some English guys who had just returned from the trip and was told where i could rent a decnt bike, decided to wait until the next day.

3:45 PM: It starts raining, and continues raining for the next 6 hours (I think I amde the right call on the motobike here).
