Just going to write a little bit here, Mel claims she'll be writing an entry on the last 5 days, so you know who to blame if it isn't up in the next couple days;)

So we flew from Phuket to Bangkok yesterday, flying turned a 15 hour train ride in to an hour and a half long flight so it was definitley worth the $75 in this case. We just did a short little night tour of one of the main dections of Bangkok last night, I showed Mel Koh San Rd. even though it did bring back some pinful memories;), her impression was pretty much that it was good for buying knock-off brands of clothing but thats about it. After that we walked past the Grand Palace at night which looks pretty cool when it is lit up at night, there was also a pretty good sized protest going on there. A large part of the country wants to kick out the current Thai Prime Minister because of corruption, it has been big news in Thailand, but I don't think it is something that The American media is really interested in Alright I get the point already!

. I thought the protest was kinda neat, Mel thought it was better that we got out of there. After that we headed to a night market, where we were pretty much the only foreigners there, so it was neat in a way, but it was just too crowded for me, plus Bangkok it is a little too muggy anddoesnt exactly smell that great so I didn't weant to stick around there for too long. It was interesting though, probably 90% of the stuff there was knock-off goods, shirts, jeans, cd's, dvd's purses walets belts, shoes you name it it was there, I think if you are big in to shopping Bangkok is a grewat place to be.

So we woke up really early to bring Mel to the airport, dropping her off was a pretty big downer. It is a difficult transition to go from having someone who you are close to around every day to share the trip with, to being completely on my own again. For me there are ups and downs to traveling with someone else, downs; you can't jsut do whatever you want at any given time, ups; you have someone to share your experiences with, and you never have to eat meals by yourself. Overall I am definitely sad to see her leave, but I am glad that we were able to travel well together, and keep the bickering to a minimum.

My internet time is running out here so I am c\going to cut it short here.. Colorful Wats (temples)

. tomorrow I am heaf\ding toi ANgkor Wat, which is a really incredible complex of tempples so that should definitely be a high light. I spent the day stocking up on stuff for the second hlaf of my trip, I kind of felt like I was at the beginning of that game Óregon Trail'that I used to play in middle school, but instead of stocking up on Ammunition and spare Wagon Axles I was buying shorts, band-aids and art supplies. This upcoming part of the trip will definitely be a little more down and dirty than the last month of beaching it, but I think it will definitely be as interesting if not more...

Gotta go my internet times up, sorry 'bout the typos no time to check...;)
