Where I stayed
Well we arrived in Innsbruck by train and it was again a breathtaking train ride. We had to change trains a few times but never waited more than a few minutes.
Daniel is a bit worse for wear today and caught a cold. Im glad I managed to book us into Hotel Ibis which is literally right on top of the train station where we arrived from Switzerland. The hotel is fantastic for the price and we have beautiful views of snow capped mountains as we are staying on the top floor. We are hopefully going to do more skiing or bob sledding tomorrow. The best thing about Innsbruck is that the bus to take us to the cable car for skiing takes only 15 minutes from the hotel and costs $3. Ski lift passes are a lot cheaper here too although we will have to hire gear and clothes
We are going to have a quiet one tonight and rest up for our big day tomorrow.
We went to a local micro brewry for dinner which was quite good. We had typical Austrian food which included dumplings, pork, goose, sour kraut, pretzels and more dumplings. The Austrians seem big on their dumplings which are made from flour and mixed with all sorts of things, commonly cheese and bacon. The food is so filling and I'm sure fattening as well but it is really good comfort food in the cold weather. You never seem to see any over weight Austrians so they must all ski it off or something.
