Where I stayed
We have made it to Wakiki on the oldest Qantas plane I have ever seen and are enjoying some great weather. About 25 degrees here during the day and still warm at night for exploring.
We are staying right next to the beach in a great hotel (Thanks so much Katrina and Tony, perfect first stop for the honeymoon).
I'm surprised by how much I like Hawaii as I thought it would just be like the gold coast but it is really nice. Great shopping and food. I have already bought a few things but Ly is being very well behaved. Although she did scare me by taking me into the Chloe handbag shop and then scared me even more by taking me into the Crocs shop!
So many high end luxury shops here which are only kept in business by the japanese of which there are many.
Ly is blending in with the locals! People here seem to think she might be Hawaiian which is a nice comliment on her skin colour but nothhing to do with her size. The Hawaiians are huge people but all very very friendly.
The town is buzzing with talk that the Eddie surf comp may be held tomorrow or the day after. It is held only in perfect conditions when waves reach 40-50 feet and hasn't been held for over five years. We are hoping to go and watch tomorrow or the day after if it does kick off.
Anyway would love to hear from you. We miss you all already! The wedding seems like so long ago.
