Our next stop was Airlie Beach. Our main reason for stopping here is to take a sailing trip out to the Whitsundays. Before we departed we stayed at 'Magnums' as it was a free night included in our sailing package. We heard some bad stuff about Magnums but we were pleasantly surprised, probably because we were expecting the worse. For our sailing trip we tried to opt for a quieter boat which wasn't a booze cruise. We choose Tallarook's Pegasus, a 75 foot sail boat. When we boarded we were pleasantly surprised to get our own double cabin (because it was extra cost), the boat was ok & had a lot of deck space. We set off from Airlie Marina at around 4.00pm so our first day was spent taking the 2 hour sail to the Whitsundays then anchoring for the night. In the evening there were a few drinking games but nothing to offensive. The second day we sail to a dive site where Dan & I had a dive. Due to the area & season we had to wear 'stinger suits', as there are several species of dangerous jelly fish. Visibility wasn't amazing but we saw some amazing fish, coral & Giant clams. After the dive we did a little bit of snorkeling & then we boarded the boat for some lunch & then headed to one of the island beaches. The second evening was a little more rowdy which anoyed a few of us. On our final day we sailed to another snorkle site & then made our way back to the Marina. All in all we enjoyed the trip but we were a little disappointed that some people were more interested in getting pissed than enjoying the Whitsundays for what they are.
