Yesterday we got the ferry from Wellington to Picton (south island) accross the Cook Strait. Thankfully no sea sickness! Really scenic crossing. When we got to Picton we drove onto Nelson, staying at Club Nelson, great hostel, same place Gem & Sam stayed, the people hear remember them! Staying in a fantastic room at the front of the house with amazing views over Nelson & out to sea. Got here quite late so started drinking games straight away with some others staying here (it is St. Patricks Day!) then onto a few bars in town (inc Irish Bar!). Great night! Got up pretty late this morning, even with clocks going back an hour! (end on New Zealand summer) Spent the day familirising ourselves with the town & also booked a few activities for the next couple of days including boats upto the Abel Tasman National Park & a wine tour the following day. I'll let you know how we get on!
