After jumping on the side of the cable car back to the terminal, we walked back to the hotel before having a look at civic square and having dinner at a really good Korean BBQ restaurant. We got ready and went to the reception at 7:30pm to take a taxi towards the Embarcadero where it was. We had to wait for a long time because we lost half the group and somehow we never found them over the rest of the night, but it was an interesting experience and I didn't get home until after midnight.
Now time for Yosemite National Park - weather forcast is snow!
Yesterday I had a really big day in San Francisco. To begin we caught the first ferry over to Alcatraz Island which is also known as the Rock and did the audio tour of the former prison which was amazing. We walked through all the old cells and heard about the escape attempts and prison life from former guards and prisoners through headphones. After the tour was over we caught the ferry back to the wharf and went and had Clam Chowder in a bread bowl which was pretty filling. We walked along the foreshore to Ghiradelli Chocolate Shop where we tasted and bought a few fine chocolates. The cable car was across the road, so we jumped on the tram to go up to Lombard Street - the most crooked street in the world! It was amazing to see the amount of cars that drive down it just because how unique it is. Jumping back on the cable car to Chinatown, we got off to go shopping for the St Patricks Day block party so I bought a green shirt and wig.
