Well it has been a very relaxing few days, not a whole lot of tourist activities, but a lot of socialising. Liz took Thursday and Friday off work so we went down to the Docklands DFO as well as Bourke Street to do a bit of retail therapy as well as the South Melbourne Markets for coffee and to have a look around. Friday night was supposed to be a jazz bar, but it ended up being a few quiet drinks at the flat.
On Saturday I met the Retz's in town which was supposed to be for ten pin bowling, but we got caught up in a Libyan Protest March so we went for a walk along the Yarra and hung out at the Transport Bar at Federation Square for a few drinks. Dinner was at a nice Japanese Restaurant on Bourke Street before catching the train back for a late night philosophical discussion
On Sunday we had a relaxing morning before a big lunch and a walk around the Blackburn Lake and surrounding neighbourhood which was really nice. At 4pm we all caught the train into town so that everyone could catch the skybus back to the airport to Adelaide and Perth.
Today is my last day in Australia (for the meanwhile) so I will be tying up any loose ends that I have before catching the plane tomorrow morning for Christchurch. Hopefully I will be able to add another entry once I've finished the Banks Peninsula Track in a weeks time.
