For the hostel, we consulted the LP and we decidet to take a local bus to the part with the most backpackers hostels. they were all a little bit dirty. The whole quarter was realy stinky. We decidet to take a look at the hostels in china town. once arriving there we appriciated, that the prefered hostel was allready full. so we took a room in an other hostel just a few meters behind. finaly that was the better choice.
After a long walk across the city,
In the next morning we went to the next little island. We asked the "tourist police"
After a 30 minutes walk over the island to the west coast, we found some nice beaches. On the way, we waked up a huge iguna or a waran (i don't know exactly).
On the way back, we were eaten by the moskitos and saw different monkeys in the wild. Waiting on the busstation, an old man told us, that when no bus is coming, he would bring us to town. hmmm, why there shouldn't come a bus? it's probably the way it works in Malaysia. Our bus was coming after a quarter hour, so we got back to the central busstation in Melaka. There we buyed some bustickets for the next day, to move to Pulau Pankor, where the water should be clearer and better. In the evening, we found a realy nice little restaurant named "Calanthe Art Cafe", which shows artworks from local artists and serves delicious foods for good prices. Nearby they are a kind of a coffehouse with 13 different malayen coffebeans!
After these days i can say, that Malaysia is a good country for foreigners. You can do almost everything for the same price, as the locals do! After Bali, a new experience to me.
