A very much "working in progress" kind of travelogue, as I have been living in London since 2003, and am still amazed by all that I discover every single day.

Entry 1 of 3 | show all | print this entry

This renowned establishment located in Central London just off Regent's Street goes by the name of Ain't nothing but Blues Bar - just the Blues Bar for friends and aficionados.

It's a little gem of old London bohemia that every visitor  should better  check out soon after arriving in town, and definitely before leaving for sunnier corners of the world.

It is today the only venue in Central London - and maybe also the whole of Greater London, I don't remember right now - that shows live gigs every single night. Some of the best shows are on Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings, when the Blues Bar hosts  fantastic jam sessions with a bunch of talented amateurs. Saturday is open mike night.

Check their website here for more info and directions. I'm not on their payroll, just a punter that found this timy venue thanks to musicians friends of mine and always got back to listen to some (very) good music.
