Entry 1 of 2 | show all | print this entry

Hello again, after a little bit of silence during the time I was at home in London. But, as far as I understand, this is supposed to be a travelogue, not a home journal, so I suppose inspiration was sort of lacking when I was confortably sitting on my couch watching The Aviator and sipping Roiboos tea, you see...

Anyway, I'm here now, not very here as a matter of fact cos I'm literally falling asleep on this foreign keyboard. .. .. for those of you who bothered to read this entry's time, I know it's not that late (around 9pm) but it's been quite a day, very exciting - as all first days in a completely new place should be - but also tiring. Not much sleep last night , lots of walking today, and my new friend/collegue Maciej to get to know without blowing our working relationship from the beginning with short temper on my behalf. Self-control requires energy!

He's a cool guy, and a talented photographer, but sometimes sort of uptight. As I do, he still lacks experience, but in a way that shows ... I look forward to working with him, but not to haveing to take clear-cut decisions that he won't like, just because I really don't feel like arguing while I'm working. But hey, not all partners can be like Alex, and after all, come what may..

Tomorrow, first meeting with Jennifer and probably other staff of CHF (the American organisation I'll be writing about), and business supper before leaving Belgrade on  Tuesday morning on board of a fantastic old soviet-era Serbian car towards Podgorica in Montenegro. Am really excited about our little road trip of the Balkans, through Bosnia and then back to the southern part of Serbia, near Kosovo.

Ok, time for a last cigarette before going to bed. Stay Tuned y'all.
