Where I stayed
Hostal La Calzada

My second last night on European soil was spent at a little (and "historical" according to their street signs..) hostal called La Calzada in the old town of Tarifa. Once again Claire and I wanted to treat ourselves before we part ways for the next 30 days.

Needless to say it was vey nice and all, and sleeping in a real bed after a few weeks on the road was restoring. We had delicious food and drinks the whole day, and at night we went out to this vegetarian joint just outside the old city's wall. The place is called Tarifa Eco Center, and I recommend checking it out especially for their pizzas and organic wines.

With still a few things to sort out with the car's set up, and only a few hours left in the relative safety of Spain, I wake up this morning with a slight feeling of nervousness, the kind the hovers around your stomach and almost feels like you've got butterflies down there playing hide and seek. In my experience it usually means a slight fear of the unknown, stepping into a world of unfamiliar places and habits that is a bit unsettling....

...mind you, my travels also thaught me that this nervousness will soon fade into excitement, and the energy I feel flowing down from my stomach into my legs and sort of making them shake will go the opposite direction and uplift my spirit. Finally, I also realise how important, necessary I would say, it is to feel this way, as it preannounces a steep learning curve, something I'm looking forward to explore.

So, enough with my kiddy panic attacks, next time you'll hear from me it will about Moroccan tales of wonders, unique encounters, and beautiful starry skies.
