We leave Boom a day later than most people, staying at our campsite version 2.0 with Ale the dancer and his friend Nicco from Florence. All around us there are scores of proper modern day hippies, with their beautifully converted vans and trucks.

It's been really nice to have an extra day to cool down after a week of sun, dust,  loud music and general madness, but the time is now ripe for us to move on and head south once again. We soon cross into Spain - where fuel is about 20 cents cheaper then in Portugal for those of who travel by car-and follow directions for Cadiz in Andalucia. We stop later in the day at a lousy campsite in a sleepy seaside resort called Sancti Petri, good for old people and middle class families, but almost scary after more seven days spent in completly different vibe. I don't recommend it...

...rather keep driving down towards Tarifa, the town on the southernmost point of Spain, on a beautiful stretch of sandy beches just across the Gibraltar strait from Africa. After trying our luck in the small town of Canos de Meca - but almost impossible to find a place at a campsite -we move towards Tarifa and find the perfect location near Punta Paloma: nice campsite with friendly vibe and (finally!) internet connection called Los Jardins de las Dunas.
