Didn't do much today, we just drive into Bordeaux and meet Ada at the train station who was coming from Paris where she spent a few days with friends. After that we leave the chaos of the city - which reminded me a lot of Turin in a sunny summer day: dirty, dusty, noisy and dodgy...- and head south towards Spain, but we stop well before the border at a little camp sitesurrounded by corn fields and fir forests.
Fuuny episode of the day: before dinner, we take advantage of the camp's swimming pool, but as I'm walking towards it, the lady running the site comes running from her hut and tell me that I'm not allowed to swim with my shorts....mind you, I'm not trying to do it in my underwear, I'm wearing proper swimming shorts, but apparently in France this is not allowed, and men must wear speedos! Is that for security reasons? surely it isn't for hygene, as the swimming pool was dirty already, with people's hair, sand and the random plaster floating in the water...if anyone knows anything about it, please let me know....
Stay tuned.
