Dawn of a new day
Claire, Monty and I land on the continent after a short ferry trip from Dover, blessed by the sun rising on the horizon.
Driving on the "wrong" side of the road...
After a restoring nap at a service station, we drive the whole day until we almost can't keep our eyes open and have to stop in a little village called Carrouges in the French countryside north of Alencon.
France!
Wanting to treat ourselves before the real on-the-road trip starts, we find a room in a sweet little hotel and sleep for 12 hours solid! I don't wanna know what the lady running the joint might have thought when we locked the door of our bedroom not to re-emerge for the next dozen hours...!
