30 days until start of trip.
One month from today. Harriet and I will be boarding the Tahitian Princess for our trip around the world. The excitement is building to build as we begin doing our last minute preparations.
A cold front has come into San Jose and as the song goes, "It's beginning to look (feel) a lot like Christmas". We will be happy to start the cruise in the warm Caribbean and head south thru the Panama Canal to South America. But we don't want to skip the season and all of the holidays that are coming up: our son's birthday, Christmas, our sister-in-law's birthday, New Year's, our 36th Wedding Anniversary, our nephew's birthday, and our uncle's birthday. A lot of excitement between now and cruise date.
Harriet is making a list and checking it twice. She also has started packing our suitcases. That means if we have any extra room we can go buy something new to put into the bags. I am finishing up on getting all the cameras, laptops, blogs, etc. ready. I have even moved our golf clubs from the truck to storage in the house. A symbolic gesture that means we won't golf until next May.
We wanted to give you this update to ensure that the blog is working well. If you have any problems or questions with the blog, email me at danroy@covad.net and we can work it out before the start of the cruise. If you know of any others that want on the blog notification list send their email address and we will put them on the notification list.
Please take some time to become familiar yourself with the blog. You do not have to join Travelpod to view the blog. I have placed entries for all of the expected ports on the trip. They will serve to create the map lines of the trip. I will fill in information as we complete our experiences at the port.

Under "Danharriet's Travel Blogs,", click on "World Cruise 2009 - Around the World in 120 Days". then click on the "Entries" tab. Scroll down to "Table of Contents" From there you can select what ever entry you would like to view.
