In split, once again, we immediately found the train station after doing a massive 1 kilometre circle, where we picked up a new friend. Beings as its now about 2 months later I can't remember his name. Maybe it was josh, so lets call him josh. It sounds at least close. He was from Amurrica, and he accompanied us for the train ride out to Zagreb. The train was, without a doubt, the worst air conditioned train that I have ever been on. It smelled like there was a slow gasoline leak that would eventually kill us. Not a pretty thought. Accompanying that was no air from windows, and the least comfortable seats possible. Just when I thought things couldn't get much worse, along comes this massive eastern european woman, smack out of the blue!
"THIS IS MY SEAT"
Shakily I sat up out of my seat...looked around at all the other empty seats near me, and said "Excuse Me"
"THIS IS MY SEAT. I HAVE RESERVATION"
So I slowly sat up and sat in the seat directly behind that one, and for a little bit of revenge I put my stinky shoes under her seat. Show her to make me move seats.
After a horrible horrible ride, and nathan having his glasses stolen by the shifty conductor guy who didn't speak a word of english, we arrived in the city of Zagreb. Being us, we thought it would be relatively easy to find a hostel. Maybe not though.
Nathan was feeling some obsession with watching the italy football game (Boooooo), so we had to find one quick. With map in hand, up the street we marched, and went to the first hostel which apparently had over 200 beds in total. There should be a bed there right?
The guy didn't even give us a second chance. "We hAVE NO ROOMS!" he cried, and out we ran in a hail of gunfire. We had heard tell of another hostel up the street, so decided that we should check that one out as well. We got there, and the lady actually laughed in our faces.
So we went back to the gunfire place hoping that we he could give us some other ideas. It was late at night, italy was already playing, and really we just wanted a room for the night. We sent in josh, and this is where he played a crucial role. One that completely made it worth picking him up for the ride. Can anyone guess what that was? Anyone?
Well, he came out of the hostel about 10 minutes later and BAM! We had a room. THe only clause was that we had to come back at 10 pm on the button, and the room would be ours. HOoray!
SO we ate some pizza, again, and watched italy win, again, and off it was to bed for us clowns. We had an early train to catch the next morning, and I know I sure wouldn't want to miss that.
Woooooord up
