So as the story goes, we have decided to stay in Winnipeg for a little while. Gabrielle has received a contract with her work for a few months and we're currently looking for a place of our own in Winnipeg. Meaning if anyone happens to be traveling through this flat, -43 celsius area in the near future we will be happy to have you! Upon our return to Winnipeg we've discovered that one of the dodgiest bars in town is now converted into a backpackers, but we wouldn't recommend staying there. The area is still dodgy. Very very dodgy.

So Gabrielle's busy at work and making her jewelry (which many of you have experienced) I've found myself still hindered by whatever it is that I picked up while traveling. Between hospital visits and tests the waiting time has been brewing crazyness, so to occupy myself I've been trying to write a bit of a story (In between dog sitting, jewelry production assisting - Gabrielle's moved into metal work so I have more to do now). The reason I'm telling you guys is cause I want contributions. Gabrielle and I have collected stories from people while we were traveling but we want more. If anyone wants to contribute, it would be hugely appreciated. I'm looking for stories about real travel. In our addiction we've read a lot of travel writing but it's all very very idealized and fake. The joy of travel is the 'best and worst' all rolled into one. Life in huge highs and lows and the interesting places it takes you and the interesting people you meet. If any of you have a story you'd wish to share I would love to hear it. Please be as descriptive as possible as well. Description of the area, and events, but also the thoughts and feelings - opinions. Those are particularly important.
I know some of you have some you have some very interesting / funny / horrible / disturbing stories to tell. And it doesn't have to be the weird, crazy, makes a good story stuff either. Fun nights hanging around the hostel etc. are part of travel and vital stories as well. If you want to tell about it I'd love to hear it and include it somehow in my work.
If you want more info on it you can email me and ask as well.
If you don't wish to share but just want to email back and say 'hi' that would be cool too.
We miss all you's out there on the road and we plan to get back there some day in the not too distant future.
Hope you're all doing well and staying happy.

All our best and a frozen thumbs up. It won't go down anymore.

Dan and Gabrielle
