Left Panama City on a bus at 730pm for what was a 10hr ride that I really can't explain. Imagine a Greyhound type bus which started off normal enough, a movie, straight highway, fairly normal right down to the uncomfortable seats and the person next to me that took up her seat and half mine.... and she apparently has never heard of Bean-o...

But then after the restroom stop around 11pm, when you think the lights would go out so people could sleep, the bus driver and his co pilot start playing Latin music over all the speakers, loudly, this continued for the remainder of the trip during which time said greyhound bus was doing 60mp+ on a narrow curvy road (think the road to Hana on Maui if you know it) such that you felt like the bus could tip over... To the bus drivers credit he drove that thing like a race car, even when we came around a corner to see a half dozen cows in the road.

Got to Almirante around 430am and took the first water taxi at 600am for a 30min ride to to Bocas de Toro town. After a short walk around, confirmed this wasn't the place for me and got another quick 10min water taxi to Bastimentos Island, which is part of the Bocas Del Toro islands.
