We all headed back to Colorado. Nell moved to an apartment in Denver to start acupuncture school and work at the Children's Hospital. We spent a couple of days at her new place and then Laura had to head back to Lubbock. We parted ways and I was alone on the road again.

I needed to get to Chicago to meet up with my friend Ed. He and I were renting a car and driving all over the place. From Chicago we were going to make our way to the West Coast and then up to Canada.
