We headed up the coast without any real goals in mind. Omar had his set on eating Maine Lobster and insisted that he eat it IN Maine. So we drove all the way up past Portsmouth and decided that the lobster thing was a stupid idea and we headed back to Boston. We settled for New England clam chowder. That night we hit up the Cheers bar in Boston and strolled around some bars in the college district. I called my friend Nell, who had lived in Boston for a while, and asked her why she had failed to mention an important thing about that city. There are 4 attractive women in the city. And they're all taken. It was late May and I had expected at least some of the ladies to have lost the winter weight and gotten a bit of a tan. But that was too much to ask. So Omar and I drank Boston Ale and talked about all the gorgeous women we had seen in New York. Still, not a bad night.
