New Year's Eve was pretty chill.  We didn't even head out until after 10:00.  We had a couple of beers as we walked a few blocks to Central World, the main gathering area.  I guess it's the equivalent of Times Square.  We never drink, so a couple of Singha were all we needed.  There was a concert, lots of revelers, a countdown in Thai, and so it felt both foreign and familiar.  It wasn't anything life altering, but I had a good time.  Thais celebrate 3 different New Years, so they sort of space out the excitement.
