My parents hooked up some pretty sweet places to stay while they were here.  They tended to be about 14 times nicer than what we were used to.  But it was their treat, so we didn't complain.  This particular room was a floating house on the River Kwai.  Lush jungle all around, water rushing by and beneath the cabin, and a pool and restaurant on site.  We spent several days exploring the surrounding area, but we also enjoyed one day of relaxing vacation time along the river.
