Lindsey used to live in Puebla and Cholula, so she was kind enough to show me around. They're both pretty cool towns. But the highlight was the shop with all the Memin t-shirts. That's the character that caused all the outrage because he was featured on a stamp. He's this black, monkey character with big lips. He's easily the most racist figure I've ever seen. It's ridiculous. Vicente Fox defended the choice to immortalize him with a stamp by likening him to Speedy Gonzales. Ummmmmm....no. Memin is just phenomenally racist and offensive. But, unfortunately, they didn't have any shirts in my size. I was heart broken. And I didn't manage to get a picture of them. Terrible. I've also found that the stamps are no longer in circulation. Or the guy at the post office just doesn't want me sending them all over the States. So google this character and see what you can find. It'll blow your mind.

The church in Cholula is built on a giant ancient temple. A classic "our God is better than yours" maneuver. But it's pretty and the view is fantastic.
