Hogmanay is just an intimate gathering of friends in Scotland's capital. 100,000 people from all over the world converge on the 500-year-old city and fill its streets and parks. Then they fill themselves with drink upon drink, and the air is filled with music, laughter, and electricity. Fireworks explode above the castle as the crowds erupt in Princes Street Gardens below.

We spent a few days with our good friends Kate and Ross. They owned the most comfortable couch on the planet. It was a fantastic night.
