We landed in London at 7:00 a.m. The jet lag was killing us. So we checked into a cheap hotel that we had paid for in advance, and went to sleep. Bad idea.

For the next 3 days we paid whatever they asked just so we could sleep all day. So we only saw London by night.

But it looked different, smelled different, was different than home. They were a dreamy few days, but it was fantastic being abroad for the first time.
