Happy Easter everyone!

It's the day after Easter and I've got alot to write about!

Now I'm well and truly on the downhill side of my trip- yes, I'm over half way by far!! In fact I have less then 8 weeks until I come home!! Crazy!! Really looking forward to getting back to AUS, I think I have really matured and changed for the better. I will also have an appreciation for all things AUS which I've been missing over here! Though I'm still loving my time over here!

So in news.... I've taken up soccer and dodgeball for intramural sport against the other cooperative houses. So far I've lost all dodgeball, and won and drawn soccer. I have a game tonight so wish me luck!! Great to get back to soccer after so long!

Also, the weather has been great- not Brisbane great, but great compared to all the snow. Funny, I think I'll never find an Aussie winter cold again after my experience over here! It's the beginning of spring so everything is really luscious and green- much different to the yellow tinge everything has in AUS! I've added the spring edition of Purdue pic's for you to check out, so you can get an idea of where I'm at! Now here is a really funny social phenomenon that I find among the fraternity houses here: It's hilarious to see it in real life!

When the sun's out and the weather is good all the guys from the frat house's go out on their front lawn, which is tiny, but they still do it. Their lawns are always in front of roads and footpaths where there are heaps of people to watch them- Anyway they put speakers from their windows and blast out their full on hard core rap and hiphop music for everyone in a 200m radius to see. Then they take their shirts off, and throw around the footy/frizbee for hours on end.... Those who aren't throwing are sitting down on wooden seats drinking beer.. without fail this happens every time its warm and the suns out. It's really just one big show off for all the girls who are walking by... many of whom sit down with the boys and join in the festivities- just like the movies!

It's almost like this big competition among the frats to see which can get the most girls, and its great to walk along a row of 10 or more and see how each is performing lol. Also the sororities do a similar thing.. they all get out on their tiny patch of lawn in their bikini's and 'sun bake' in front of 100 of passer byers and and cars..... ok so it's a little hard to explain but I've added some pic's and a video to show you haha.

In other news... two weekends ago fairway had a formal! Was a great night at an Indy hotel. Had fun dancing with the another cooperative house. I was sporting some uh...pretty good looking suspenders lol so u'll have to check out the pic's haha.

Oh and, check out some pic of my EDCI 205 class- we had to review this book and make a dice which talked about the education issues haha... so I make this tiny black and white thing made of paper... and rock up to class (after it got squised in the bus) and see that everyone else has these huge, colourful, interesting (some were made of wood!) dice... I really got owned haha... check out the pic's. Such a testament to my art work skills. Not going to brag but it is possible I kindergärtner may have been jealous....

Ok, so that brings me to this weekend! Josh Cunninghams's parents kindly invited me to stay at their place over easter. In amongst teaching them how to play cricket, having a hit of golf at the driving range, watching the blindside, having awesome nerf gun wars with josh's little bro (honestly these things are AMAZING!! I ordered two and shipped them to Australia haha- seriously Australian children are missing out!!), I had my most memorable food experience of the trip. Now there is this diner called 'Bub's' which has a giant burger with one pound of elk meat!! Now this thing is no 'McDonald's' pounder, this thing comes with a huge bun, tomato, lettuce, pickles and onions, and cheese, in proportionate to the size of the steak. Now this thing was HUGE!!! If you ate it you got ur picture on the wall and everything. I am proud to say, that dispite being a little sick, and having to eat an early 5:15 dinner, I managed to down the 'Big Ugly' in less the 12 min. I have added photo's and a video for your enjoyment! haha.

On Sunday, we celebrated easter at church, then at Josh's grandparents place with the fam, had an awesome easter lunch with MtDew jelly eggs... and had an easter egg hunt around the yard!! This is defs a tradition I'm going to bring back to AUS!! Again.. pictures speak louder then me blabbing haha.

Finally, On my way home I had my first real experience at the legendary 'White Castle' where I got a picture with this awesome black guy and my 'burger sliders' haha.

So all in all it's been great!

On the 23rd I'm heading out to NY for a long weekend! So stay tuned

Missing the land of the bogun, the car boot, the footpath, the rock melon, the pay out, the Vegemite and the AFL! YEW!!!

PS. Don't be a hater.
