We arrived in Krakow at 6 am. Our hostel reception was not open until 8, so we hung out at a park. I feel at home. I lived around here as a child and I studied abroad here last summer. It feels really good to be back. I missed it so much throughout the past year.

Our hostel, Traveller's Inn Private Rooms, was very nice: nicely decorated, friendly, and super clean.

I suggested we get breakfast at Ross Amores, which is the cafe portion of a restaurant called Wierzynek on the Rynek. Wierzynek has been around since the 14th century and was made for the royalty. Now, wealthy and noble artists, writers, presidents, and whatnot dine there. The downstairs portion, which we went to, is cheaper but still has a wonderful flair about it. We ordered omelettes, juices, and a fruit salad. And the staff and presentation of everything is excellent here Rainbow over St. Mary's

.

As we walked out onto the Rynek, or town square, we noticed a congregation of people all around. There was the ceremony of the oath of the Polish soldiers.

We then went to Kosciul Mariacki, or St. Mary's Church. It is the most charming church ever located in the Rynek. Everyday at noon, a trumpet player plays this tune to all four directions of the world. However, towards each direction his tune gets cut off. The history behind that is in the 13th century the trumpeter was shot in the throat with an arrow and never completed his tune. That tune really is music to my ears :)

For dinner we went to go get Kebabs. Kebabs are extremely popular in Poland, especially Krakow. You see them on every corner, like Starbucks. The best Kebabs in my opinion are the ones by the club Prozak on Grodzka street. Following that it was time for CK Browar, a brewary by Teatr Bagatela that was established in 1996. They give you 3 L table tappers filled with very good Polish beer.

Finally, I had to take him to THE BEST ice cream place....in the world Ross Amores
Ross Amores
. No joke. No Italian ice cream can even beat this. Jeff agreed to that statement. It is the one on Szewska street. I believe it opened last year and it was not that popular then, but my friends and I declared it as the best....and now this year it is EXTREMELY popular and yes it is best. :)

At night, we went out to Club Arms and Legs first. Krakow has a great nightlife, especially in July. For some reason though, this year seemed a little more empty. Then we were off to Frantic, which has always been my favorite club. We ripped up the Hip Hop room with our dancing haha.

Then we got on a random golf cart thing that took us to Cien, which is also a fun club but it's smaller. We started dancing with some people and started a dance circle.

As we left, I realized my shoes broke....literally broke in half :/ And I had huge blisters. So Jeff decided to carry me home....and we were not close to home. So we piggybacked it, then a front carry, then back to piggyback. It was awesome and hilarious.
