So we arrived in Amsterdam Centraal late evening yesterday. We were staying with my friend Chris at his apartment here. So earlier he gave us instructions on how to get to his place....easy breezy- one straight tram ride. First impression of Amsterdam: gorgeous and charming city with A LOT of bicycles. Seriously a very pretty city. So that night we basically just went with Chris to get some food for our few days here and just chilled.

Today we started our day by going to the Anne Frank House. It was very interesting to see it and somewhat eerie. I read her journal a few times and seriously it was so strange to see some of her words transformed into something real....like the pictures and magazine cutouts in her room. Going through the bookcase up the stairs made it real.

Then we went with Chris to the Torture Museum. Eh it was expensive and not that worth it. Kinda cool but maybe for half the price. Then we wanted to go to the Sex Museum and could not find it!! We wandered the whole city and asked so many people. Finally after like an hour we found it. Oh boy. haha seriously oh boy. I mean it was somewhat historical I guess. Porn started in the 1800s haha. It was three levels. The boys loved it of course.

So we got back and ate some dinner. At around 10:30 we headed to the Red Light District. It was something definitely worth seeing! I could not believe how many of these women there were. It was so strange to see. They all stood in their little windows and guys just walked around. If they were "busy" the curtains would be closed. We saw some guys leaving, coming, etc. I just cant believe that this is considered a profession in Amsterdam and they actually pay taxes on it. It was fun but really it's pretty sleazy.
