Train ride to Paris was actually cold! So in Paris we also did not have a hostel, but a hotel...way to got hostelworld. haha. We were in the artist community of Paris, Montmartre. Our hotel room has a tv again! So we went to dinner at 8 and found a place with a fixed price dinner menu. We both got steak but mine was really bloody. I had problems communicating that to the waitress but after a while she knew what i was getting at and she said she could bring me out something else. So I asked for spaghetti. We then went to see Moulin Rouge, which was 5 minutes away from our hotel. So cool! Of course we couldn't see a show because that was about 100 euro. We saw the fancy people going in haha. But it was really sweet to see it. haha also, at dinner Jeff and I drank the French water and got a little sick. So now I had double tummy troubles ick.
Next day we went to the Eiffel Tower
We then went to this one park. It was so peaceful and beautiful. But we got lost. It started to rain but it soon passed. But somehow we found our way. Afterwards, we headed to the Arc de Triumphe. We got there in 30 minutes. It was HUGE! It's pretty cool how it's in the middle of like a highway too.
So for dinner we found a place called Bip Burger. Our "burger" was more like a kebab. But we were stuffed! ick.
At night we went to Sacre Coure which was 5 minutes from our hotel. It is this beautiful white church up on a hill where people come at sunset to hang out and chill. As we approached the stairs, there about 30 African guys trying to con you into buying bracelts. They basically grabbed your finger and started talking to you and making this bracelet. I was not going to get forced into anything. So I did small talk but as soon as I knew when he was going to catch me I pulled my finger and the bracelet away. As I walked away he grabbed me and started to put it back on. I then grabbed him, pushed him off, and said no. He was angry. Jeff though got conned and had to buy it for like 2 euro.
So it began to rain so no sunset to watch tonight. We went to our hotel room to do "laundry"...aka hang our line across our room and soap up our stuff in the sink and hang it. But the rain passed and we went back to Sacre Coure. We took our wine with us. Some creepy guy kept staring at us the whole time at the steps. After a few minutes a fight broke out with these 16 year olds. Then they broke glasses and began using those as weapons. Jeff and I moved up higher on the steps and the creepy man followed. The fight then kept going. Then we went to the "balcony" area of the viewing area and when i looked back, creepy man was looking at us! eww :/ After like 5 minutes though he left. And we went back to the hotel...and saw another fight at the park next to us hahaha good Parisian boys
Next day we went to the Eiffel Tower
Eiffel Tower
. It was amazing! It was all very surreal. Instead of the funicular we decided to take the stairs. Ooof. First flight was 300 steps. By the second level we were at over 600 stairs. But the view was beautiful and the breeze was nice. We were overlooking Paris and the Seine river :) We then went to this one park. It was so peaceful and beautiful. But we got lost.
