We got to our new hostel: Ideal Youth Hostel. Umm not so ideal. First impression: we're scared. There were like punky people just hanging and the place was really dark. So we left our luggage and went to Las Ramblas, which was just around our corner. We wanted Paella and went to this chic looking place. Wayyy overpriced and not really edible. Place was called La BoTiga....don't go there.

So then we checked into our room: basically a jail cell. Jeff sat on his bed and his butt sank all the way down. My bed had some weird stains...I think it was blood. The lockers were rusty, tiny, and didn't work. Our beds were by the lockers and the other 10 beds were in the other half of the room. Some of our roomies were some French dudes there for the weekend to party. We went to a store to get wine. Btw the hooker avenue here is intense! It is a block away from our hostel and on our way to our market so we pass it everyday. Man oh man, day and night. From what I heard a guy asking one of them today, they cost 50 euro a night lol. That's our entertainment.

So we got our 2 Euro bottles of wine and went to go get kebabs for dinner. They tasted like Burger King. ew. Then we went to a Flamenco Show. My book said it was going to be 5 Euro with drinks. Well it was 6 Euro and no drinks. For the first 15 minutes the show was just singers. This one guy kept making the most grotesque faces ever. And we had such a bad day and were so tired that we got soooo extremely giggly. I thought I was going to have to leave the club because I couldn't stop laughing. That was the icing on the cake. Finally, two more guys came out, one who looked like Horatio Sanz, and then the flamenco dancer. He was unbelievable! The best I've ever seen. We then went back to the hostel and drank our wine. haha at like 3 am the French guys came out and all they kept saying was SHHHH but really loudly. It was hilarious. At one point only one guy was left in there by himself and he kept saying it. love it.
