Still getting used to co-ed bathrooms but really it's not that big of a deal. We sat with a girl from England at breakfast and she told us about a market in a non-touristy part of Madrid. Sounded good! Markets are awesome. We got off the metro stop and then it was time to whip out my Spanish skills. I could ask questions and understood everything they said! Way to go high school skills haha. The market was HUGE! There was meat everywhere, fruits and veggies. We got water there for sooooo cheap. I also got bananas, of course. I wanted to buy a dress I saw there too but it was too expensive. It was 25 Euro and our daily budget is 20 Euro.

We then went to Museo del Prado. Fantastic art! We also saw artists working in there making recreations. We then went to this tiny restaurant and split a pizza. haha it was a struggle to ask how long it will take to make...but I got. Then we headed over to Parque Retira. It was unbelievably huge and gorgeous. We found some very cool trees there. Hung out for a bit because our feet hurt.

Getting back to the hostel was a bit of a problem. Metro #2 closed down all of a sudden and so we wanted to find a different metro stop. We wandered for about 30 minutes and ended up in some random neighborhood that definitely did not have any tourists. I could not stop laughing because it was so funny.

After stopping at the hostel, we headed to Estacion Atocha to reserve our tickets to Barcelona. My broken Spanish got us through again. Back in town, we got ice cream....mine had a black hair in it haha and yes I still ate the ice cream. Tight budget leaves us not picky. Again, went to the palace to chill. Spain vs. Russia Euro game occurred today too. We wanted to find a tv but didn't. It was chaos everywhere though. Everyone is wearing flags and stuff! LOVE IT!! Europe loves their football....especially Espana.
