Our next stop was Visegrad. We ate some goulash and the strangest Caesar Salad I ever encountered (a handful of lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and croutons, half a bottle of mayonaise, strips of chicken breast, all sprinkled with sesame seeds... none too appetizing). After our late lunch, we drove up the hill to the Castle. Although most of the castle has been converted into a museum, it was interesting to look at the original layout from above... the outer wall, inner wall, and keep still clearly visible if you know what you are looking for.
After some refreshing iced tea freezies, I convinced Attila and Béla to try the nearby bobsled. We had a blast. For two guys who say they hate roller coasters, they sure enjoyed themselves. Windblown and giggling, we started down the hill (though the way Attila was driving, I think he thought we were still on the bobsled track!)
We cruised through a few more towns, finally stopping back in Esztergom for lángos (this time with apricot marmalade instead of garlic and cheese) and hot drinks before heading home.
