Nice rest, but back to being a tourist.

Landsberg am Lech, the town we camped in but didn't tour is our first stop today. It is a very pretty little town, a river runs through it and the buildings are very colorful.  We walk through the town and over the river and by the Muter (Mother) Tower.  The walk was very peaceful along the river.

We head out to Hohenfurch, but there is an umlitung (detour), which takes us far and wide across the country.  It was a scenic ride but longer than we expected.  We stopped at a grocery store and picked up goodies for lunch and super.  We missed Hohenfurch because of the detour and went onto Schongau.

We are into hilly country now.  The town is a walled inner city, with several towers.  We find the tourist office and get the information sheet.  We choose to see the little museum in a former church and I think a nursing home.  It has lots of nice relics to look at, but nothing was in English.

We then went to see the area of a gate where several women were kept in prison, they were thought to be witches.  Then to the next turret where they were hung for being witches.

We stopped in at the church, so different from the other ones we have seen as it is all white inside.  It was a great stop.

On to Peiting, but, nothing of importance is written about this little town, so it is a drive through.  There are hiking trails up in the woods, but no much else is mentione.

We head on out for Rottenbuch.  This is where we are camping for the night.  We have a pen of about 8 or 9 bunnies beside us.  We have our barbeque.  We did pork chops and sliced potatoes and onions in foil.  It was very good, our first barbeque and we forgot to take a picture!  I think it will be cool here tonight, but we do have electricity to use the dryer to warm the bed.

No mosquitoes!
