It was raining this morning when we woke up.  We tidied up in the van as much as we could, but eventually had to get out in the rain and undo the front seats and the tarp over the back.

We took the main highway and it was very fast, no back roads today!  We did hit a couple of toll boths, but they were very reasonable so we didn't mind at all.

Lots of stores and money changes on the Polish side, but little or no stores on the Czech side of the border.  We stopped at the first gas station to get the highway sticker.  It was 220 Czech krouns which we paid for in Euros at an inflated exchange rate.  Not nice.

We stopped just outside Prague for diner, our first real Czech Pizza.  It was quite good and the first time I had kernel corn on pizza - I had a vegetarian pizza.

We stopped in at serveral hotels thinking we might stay here for the night, but they were all closed.  When we did find one that was open they wanted 90 Euros for the night.  Wow.

We continued on into Prague and the camping area.  We found a camp ground very easily, there are about 9 camp sites along Troja Street.  The first one was full and we got in the second one.  They had a lot of rain on Saturday and the grass is so wet and becoming muddy.  We find a pretty dry area and set up the tarp on the trees on the fence line.  Just in case it rains.

We settle in for the night.  It is cool, but we have a couple of hot water bottles to take to bed.

Long day travelling, we did over 450 kms today.  It took us about 6 hours to do it.

I had forgotten about corn on pizza!
That is something we would never see in North America, but in the Czech republic it was common. All kinds of different toppings----while you're in Prague, do try to find a butcher shop. There was one on the 14 tram line in Holesovice. Best pork products and great deli salads and cucumber salads!
