June 12 and June 13
Friday and Saturday
These are two very lazy days. We went to the beach and relaxed both day. No pictures as we didn't even take the camera. Actually I did the blog and pictures on Friday while Len went to the beach.
We asked our Provincial Manitoba Health when we could leave the province for our next holiday and they told us April 1, 2010! So we will be spending this winter in beautiful downtown Winnipeg or Winterpeg as it is fondly known.
We are inviting you all to come and see us in January, February or March and enjoy our first winter in Winnipeg in a few years
These two days were so hot right from the first thing in the morning that we were looking for shade to sit under to have breakfast. The days were warm, by the sea there is a cool breeze so you don’t really feel the heat. We were slathered in sun screen and I started the day under the umbrella.
There weren’t any waves so I did go in and have a float in the water. It was cool, but not as cold as West Hawk Lake this time of the year. Lots of sight seeing on Saturday as the beach was busy with the locals. As you looked down in either direction it was a sea of colour with all the umbrellas.
When we walked to the store we pass a local pub/cafe. In the mornings there were all kinds of birds chirping and I then realized the whole wall had 2 shelves full of little bird cages and the local men brought their birds (in cases that looked like a child’s lunch kit) to the café to let all the birds sing and chirp together.
We have kept our cold food stuff cold with the frozen bottles of water we keep changing
Usually around 4 in the afternoon the wind comes up and it is windy while making diner and eating. The evenings cool off and great for sleeping.
They do have mosquitoes here. Not too many, but they are a bother when they buzz your ear in the night. We had bought a screen netting. Screens on windows or in campers is very rare. So Len put it up across one of the back doors to keep the cool air coming in through the night.
Saturday there is a bbq at the local school. We had walked by it and could smell the good food and hear the music. We still heard the music after we went to be and the kids were only middle school age.
Great 2 days, we enjoyed our time here and will move on tomorrow to the west side of Spain to Zaragoza.

Kiddy Pool
. It will be a change. Maybe it will be an opportunity to plan for our next trip. These two days were so hot right from the first thing in the morning that we were looking for shade to sit under to have breakfast. Big Pool
. There is a small freezer here and you can freeze your ice in it, so we have about 6 bottles of frozen water on the go. We bought another little cooler bag for the beer, wine and a bottle of what we thought was like Bailey’s Irish Cream, but a little more watered down. We usually have a beer before diner and then the Bailey’s after dinner with our Oreo cookies.Usually around 4 in the afternoon the wind comes up and it is windy while making diner and eating.
