Leticia took me up to the beach where she works as a masseuse. Its name is Jurere International (apparently there is a 'Jurere Traditional' somewhere nearby) as her work was a having a photoshoot for a newspaper article. The beach was quite different from the southern beaches. The water was calm and a lot warmer, so the beach was filled with rich families whose young children could play safely in the waves.
It was an overcast day, so I quickly became bored with the over-crowded beach and thought I'd check out the 'Open Shopping', a few hundred metres back from the shore. The clothes were beautiful and if I was working full time I might have been tempted, but with my travel plans I can't really afford to spend R200 on some shorts.
I helped Leticia's workmates to practise their english before the photo shoot began. The photographer was very late, so we didn't leave Jurere until about 6pm.
Leticia wanted to show me some more of the northern beaches, so we drove to Daniela. The beach was also very safe for swimming and for some reason reminded me of Point Chev in Auckland. We got some icecreams and sat on the rocks to eat them.
We visited Morro da Cruz on the way home; a lookout over the city of Florianopolis.
Dinner was at 'Senhor Nachos' with Marina and her brother Diego. The restaurant looked out over the lagoon and had cheap and tasty Brazilian-Mexican dishes. Marina and I shared a Chicken tostada and a Beef burrito (which I preferred).
